![]() Floating Market Damnoen Saduak review
Address one of the largest and most popular floating markets among tourists. Also known as Klong Lat Phli Floating Market. Around 1866 King Rama IV ordered that a 32 kms long canal had to be created at Damnoen Saduak. This canal would connect the Mae Klong River with the Tacheen River. The excellent quality soil beside the canal is still very fertile and suitable for growing many kinds of fruits and vegetables. This is how and why the market developped. The area is famous for Malacca grape, Chinese grapefruit, mangoes, bananas, and coconut. Description: |

Just after arriving in Bangkok for three years, someone told me about this site with a lot of great tips and advices. The restaurant Spring has become our old time favorite! No problems getting there because the taxi driver took us straight there the first time. Surely, we would have never known about this place if it was not mentioned here. And the ‘too expensive’ and ‘discount please’ in Thai worked very well at Chatuchak Weekend Market; I got a some good bargains. Great site, my compliments!
