Just after arriving in Bangkok for three years, someone told me about this site with a lot of great tips and advices. The restaurant Spring has become our old time favorite! No problems getting there because the taxi driver took us straight there the first time. Surely, we would have never known about this place if it was not mentioned here. And the ‘too expensive’ and ‘discount please’ in Thai worked very well at Chatuchak Weekend Market; I got a some good bargains. Great site, my compliments!

Chinatown     review

Address
Around Yaowarat and Thanon Charoen Krung

Chinatown is an interesting place to just wander around. A couple of Chinatown's most interesting roads are Yaowarat road, leading westwards from near Wat Traimit, and Sampeng Lane, also sometimes known as Soi Wanit, running parallel south of Yaowarat.
Sampeng Lane has a million shops with a lot of fabrics, decoration stuff and colourfull cheap jewellery. At Charoen Krung you'll see people sitting on the street, using traditional chinese methods to get rid of facial hair using white powder and pieces of thin floss.
